Chris Skeates Goaltending

My name is Chris Skeates and I am a goalie from Toronto, ON. I'm 6'4" tall and weigh 195 lbs.

 

I have completed 2 pro tryouts, an ECHL free agent camp with the Reading Royals and a CHL free agent camp with the Brampton Beast. For the Reading Royals Camp, I was ranked 3rd overall where the #1 overall goalie was invited to an AHL camp on a PTO. My evaluation from this camp can be viewed here.

For the Brampton Beast camp I did very well however, they were already in discussion with two current pro goalies.

 

Most recently I trained with Gary Roberts' Pro group during the off season at his High Performance Centre. I also trained on-ice with his Pro group during the Pro readiness camp which included NHL style practices and work ethic.

 

I am a big goalie that fills the net very well. This paired with my quick crease movements, both on my feet and while in a butterfly, make me a desirable goalie to have. I have good rebound control and can play the puck very well. My communication skills stand out above most goalies as I'm always talking to my D. I am mentally tough and I'm committed to being the hardest working player on your team.
